Second time donor Amanda supports patients and her family

Quick facts:

  • Loves helping fragile babies while having the ability to be a stay-at-home mom
  • Facebook friend recommended Tiny Treasures Milk Bank
  • Goal to donate 80,000 ounces in 2 years

“My husband and I have two beautiful children, Oliver, 2.5 years, and Briella, 6 months. In my spare time, I enjoy making clothes, cooking, and baking sweets for my family!

After Oliver was born, I found myself with an oversupply of breast milk. My freezer was overflowing, and I was starting to feel very overwhelmed. A mom in a Facebook group recommended that I try donating my excess milk to Tiny Treasures Milk Bank.

Two years later, I’m now on my second donation journey with Tiny Treasures Milk Bank. I love being part of such an amazing community. It not only gives me the opportunity to help fragile babies across the globe but also allows me to be a stay-at-home mom while providing for our family. The compensation has given us the chance to go on family vacations that we would never have thought were possible with just my husband’s income, in addition to allowing me to stay home with our kids.

My biggest pumping achievement has been pushing through the hard days. Pumping is HARD but knowing that my baby is growing from my milk gives me the motivation to keep going. Briella is our latest baby, so my goal for my second and final donation journey is to donate for at least 2 years, and/or a total of 80,000 ounces.

My advice to new donors: Don’t give up on a bad day. There will be some days that are harder than others. Set a goal for yourself and work toward it. Whether you donate 1 ounce or 1,000, being a donor is one of the most selfless things you can ever do. Your time, energy, and dedication do not go unnoticed!”
