Gift ideas for new dads

New dads deserve a little something too. They will help take care of the new bundle of joy, make them laugh, keep them safe, among a million other things. You could get a new dad a tie or take him to a ball game, but those gifts aren't very creative.

Here are some creative, last minute gift ideas for dads.

  1. Personalized gifts. Whether “World’s Greatest Dad” or just plain old “Pops”, personalized gifts are usually cherished and definitely sentimental. Get him a key chain from Planet Jill that can be engraved with a special note and has space for a picture of mom and baby! Or, what about funky cufflinks, personalized with baby’s initials?
  2. A man bag. Men generally don’t want to carry around floral, girly diaper bags, so get him something to help him blend in with the other guys. Get him a sporty messenger bag with handy features for on-the-go dads.
  3. Dad’s Playbook. If the man in your life needs a little inspiration about fatherhood, this is a great book. It’s a fun read full of quotes and insights from sports’ greatest coaches.
  4. A baby monitor. If dad has an iPhone, it can also be a baby monitor. With the Smart Baby Monitor, he can see what the little one is up to, talk to him or her, and share his favorite music.
  5. A family photo. Celebrate the birth of your new baby and turn a photo of your new family into a piece of art for dad’s office or man cave. Some dads are easy to shop for, while others require a little more thinking. But either way, remember to let the dads in your life know how much they matter, and how much you appreciate them.
