Where is the most unusual place you've pumped?

If you're a lactating mom, you've probably had to pump during less than convenient times. Whether you're trying to maintain your milk supply or prevent engorgement or leaking, breast pumping is a 24/7 job. So we asked a fun question to our donor community, "Where is the most unusual place you've pumped?" Below is a collection of their answers

"Fitting room at Macy's since its hard to muffle the sound of the pump."

"A few weeks ago I was in my car and needing to pump after picking my daughter up from school. We had to stop on a street to allow students to exit the school bus. I didn't even think about it being a school bus and the fact that I was directly behind it when I just whipped out my boobs and set my pump up. My 13 yr old said 'Mom! Those kids go to my school!' Right then I looked up and saw lots of kids looking out of the windows... Whoops."

"Airport bathroom? Plane? Airport waiting room? So many choices!" "Most difficult... Would have to be after my sons religious dedication service, I was so engorged and leaking though my dress... Had to pump on our way to the restaurant for the reception. He was around 8 weeks old and It was my first time pumping in the car and in 'public' I was so nervous that I'd be exposed."

"My friend had a New Year's Eve disco costume party at another friends bar... full costume pumping in the bar office = weird."

"I pumped in the middle of a car dealership while we were buying our last car. Wasn't difficult, just strange."

"I pumped at the Detroit zoo a few weeks after my first baby was born (back in 2010)! Right out in the open."

"We did a Christmas photo shoot for my daughter and it took longer than I thought. I was dressed as Santa and man it was hard to get the shirt up over the big belly to pump!"
